Does Markdown Studio upload my files to a server?
No. Files are read directly in your browser and stay on your computer. Notes and preferences are saved only in this browser.
How do I export a Markdown table to Excel?
Click “Excel” above the table or “Export tables to Excel” in the menu. Choose colors, font, filters, a frozen header and a totals row; numbers, currency, percentages and dates become real spreadsheet values.
Does it render Mermaid diagrams such as graph TD?
Yes. ```mermaid blocks (graph TD/LR flowcharts, sequence, Gantt and more) are drawn automatically. The “Edit” button opens an editor with live preview, and diagrams can be downloaded as PNG or SVG.
Can I see the raw Markdown text?
Yes. Use the “Markdown” button above the document (or Ctrl+Shift+M) to see the source with line numbers and syntax colors; “Preview” switches back to the formatted document.
Is there a Kindle-like reading mode and an English dictionary?
Yes. Reading mode shows the document as pages you turn sideways, with a sepia theme and adjustable text. English technical and business terms are underlined with translation, definition and a Portuguese explanation.
Does it work offline and can it be installed?
Yes. Markdown Studio is a progressive web app (PWA): install it from your browser or the app menu and open .md files even without internet.
Is it free?
Yes, it is free and needs no sign-up. It is maintained by Plano Certo Engenharia, an engineering company based in Joinville, Brazil.
Your files are only read in your browser. We measure usage anonymously with Google Analytics, only if you allow it.
